CLOSED FOR REFURBISHMENT - The Oyster Catcher (formerly The Maelog Lake Hotel) is due to re-open in early Spring 2012
The Maelog Lake Hotel closed on November 1st 2010 ahead of a major re-development. This will entail a brand new building which will be re-named The Oyster Catcher (artist impression below):

The new development will house a Chef's School aimed at disadvantaged young people on Anglesey, who need a job and are looking to create a worthwhile career.
The Maelog Lake Hotel is owned by John and Alex Timpson, who bought the property following the success they had with The White Eagle, a pub just across the bay in Rhoscolyn that they fully rennovated in 2007.
Customers can expect the same quality and service that they receive at The White Eagle. The new development, rising above the dunes, will have relaxing views of the lake and easy access to Maelog Lake's famous kite surfing beach.
